what is the specs on the rotor?

I just picked up a wheel and it has a slightly rusted rotor on it

The fellow lived near cape cod so its probably just surface rust

I need to know the minimum wear before its no good so I can ask the dealer to look it over
anyone have a manual?   If its in good condition I could have a real spare wheel rotor etc just in case I decide to return one day to the dark side

I suppose driving will take some of the rust off. You could try this if you really want to clean them up:

If the rust is in the path of the pads, it will be gone the 1st time you apply the brakes......

Let your bike set a couple of days and if it is humid, they will show signs of rust.

I'd say, mount it and  ride it..........

Oss...these rotors are not to be "turned"  no dealer will do it......they are made from stainless, any rust should be able to be scrubbed off easily with 0000 steel wool........unless it is an EBC or other aftermarked (non stainless) rotor.......
