I've got a deposit on this one. Have to fly out and take a look at it next week. Hope it checks out, been looking for the "right" one for over a year.  99 FRC Corvette.

Nice. . . . What engine?

All the FRC cars made in 99 and 2000 were the LS1 5.7 V8. Same engine as any other Corvette those two years. These were the precursor to the Z06 Vettes in 2001.  FRC cars were the lightest of the C5 cars of the 97-04 era weighing in at a just over 3000 lbs. They were offered with limited options but they all came with 6 speed manual trannies, 3:42 gears and the Z19, Z51 handling packages. They made a little over 4000 of them in 99 and 2090 of them in 2000.

Nice 'Vette!  What does "FRC" stand for?  "Fire-engine Red Corvette"?

FRC = Fixed roof coupe. Some people call it a hardtop which is correct, but some people who have the "targa" lift off roof section call their cars hardtops with a lift off roof. It really doesn't matter except when your searching for a particular car on the internet and you use hardtop in the search you get everything except a convertible, and every once in a while a convertible will sneak in too!
