I'm putting on new Kuryakyn hand grips and they are longer then the oem ones I took off. I seem to remember seeing somewhere about making some pvc end caps. Any suggestions? Do I really need the end caps?

When I bought my kury flame grips they came with a couple pieces of pvc-like material designed for spacers.....drop them in the grip before installing. However I didnt need them, fit perfectly.  lube them up with some rubbing alkeehol to test fit, they will slip on and off easy as pie and then the alkeehol will dry and there is no mess
