...at the Blessing of the Bikes in Boerne, Texas.

Actually, we truly met in Bergheim after a couple of pre meet ups and then rode over to Havelina Harley together. Five Valkyries, one VTX1300 and one Victory. Lots of nice bikes there including Pop173 on his Valk plus two more making the total Valkyrie count eight.

John Quinn, my neighbor with the Victory, spotted one more Victory there - I guess they are rarer than Valkyries - but there were plenty of Harleys...

We did get a little spiritual guidance...

...and we all had our bikes blessed. Except for Old Geezer's Fat Lady. Richard ops out every year and has an interesting story behind that decision. Also, one look at the Geez and Mrs. Geezer's helmets could cause that bolt-of-lightening-out-of-nowhere syndrome if a blessing went just slightly awry...

Yours truly with Hildr - all blessed for 2011!
At least, that's what the sticker says...
Afterwords, most of our small group of Centexers headed over to Blanco for lunch at what has become our favorite place, the Chess Club Cafe...

We got to warm up a bit before our food arrived...

And then the food.
Oh my! Let's start with raising the bar for Chicken Fried Steak...

Stuffed Pork Loin for something a little different...

The ultimate comfort, Turkey Sandwich and Navy Bean Soup...

Here's the view from the dining room...

Wonderful Centex VRCC New Year's Day ride, meal and great company...

Groupo Centex! - 1/1/11...

The new faces on the left are Brian and Jane out of new Baunfels. Jane rides a VTX 1300 and Brian rides his '98 Burgundy and Cream Standard (
everyone knows these are the fastest Valks) which he bought new. I think they should get a real big howdy...
HOWDY!Happy
and blessed New Year everyone!
