Which signal, front/back and model? Maybe show a pic of the part, or point out in the fisch. I'm parting out my IS, the LH turn signal is broken (lense/housing), but I think the rubber piece you are talking about is intact. I would need to get to the bike, remove the signal, and see if it can be removed without damage.

I just checked the fisch on the part # for my 99' IS and an 99' T and they are the same for the front. The pre 99' T uses the 2 scews to hold the lense on, unlike the one undermounted on the newer models.

You did not specify front or rear (and I assume you are working on your 2000 Tourer).  If so, you need to remove the front turn signal by removing the fork clamp (2 bolts) or the rear turn signal by removing the tail lamp assembly (I think the bolts are on the underside of the fender).  Then you can unhook the electrical connections and remove the entire turn signal assembly (bolt 11 or 12 in the parts fiche).

To separate the chrome housing from the rubber mounting stem, you must pop off the lens and remove the mounting screws holding in the bulb holder (not shown in the parts fiche).  The bulb holder includes a bracket that holds the chrome housing to the mounting stem.  Because the wires are soldered to the bulb holder, you must remove the entire assembly to separate the chrome housing from the mounting stem.

If this is not clear, post a response and I will try to reply and include some photos.

Thanks for all replies. It is the front right, (I should have stated this in my original post), and yes it is on my 2000 Tourer. I am still looking for a replacement as the dealer wants $55.00 for a new one. I took the lens off and see the bracket that has to be removed. I will check Pinwalls tomarrow.

I hate posting a plug for myself in the Tech section, when there is a classified one, but I have my RH front turn signal in good condition listed on my web page for $15 + shipping.

I looked at the bike today at the LH turn signal, but the rubber portion looks like it's a mess. I didn't have tools so I couldn't remove it (no metric tools at my Mom's house), but it looked like the base was actually bent, and a couple of nicks in it. I was going to remove it and tear it apart to see how good the instructions on how to remove it was.

Like already posted, the 99' up tourer uses the same turn signal as the IS has.

New turn signal came in and was complete, it even had a bulb already installed in it. Only took about fifteen minutes to get it installed.
