As you are selling at a show, presumably without an FFL, be careful to not appear to be acting as an unlicensed dealer. BATFE routinely trolls guns shows in mufti (undercover) to trap people. Do not take more than two guns in to sell at a time... as little as three guns in a year has been prosecuted as an unlicensed dealer. And, thou it will cost some money, realize if you go thru an FFL holder to formalize the sale from private party to private party, this removes any chance of being charged as an unlicensed dealer, and any chance you are selling to a prohibited person (former felon, etc).
This did not enter my mind.

Thanks guys for the info.

I bought my last ( 3 ) handguns on the side of the road just outside Confederate, Kentucky. I checked them out haggled the price handed him the money took the guns and everyone was happy. The best part of the deal ....No paper trail

Well Joe I don't have a problem with that, so long as what you bought was not stolen property that is on a national police list of stolen guns. Same as a private buy at a gun show as far as that goes (where you can never be absolutely sure you are not buying stolen property), and no paperwork there either. It's difficult to successfully prosecute someone for an innocent purchase of a stolen gun (it is done), but if you happen to use it in self defense and it is discovered to be stolen (and/or later ballistically matched to other crimes or homicide(s), it is sure to be an uncomfortable situation.
The problem is, to find out if it's stolen, it has to be run thru the system as a purchase, and then there is paperwork... which is also unsatisfactory. I probably have over a dozen private purchases at gun shows.... all you can do is have a little discussion, ask to see a license (proves nothing, but if he refuses to show it, it makes you wonder), ask him outright if it is stolen or he is a felon so you can later testify truthfully that you asked (course you can't know if he's lying), create a little handwritten bill of sale, and otherwise use due care to buy legal guns. Most of my purchases were from a retired USAF OSI Lt Col, and a disability-retired LA cop (no FFLs).... but some were just guys walking around.
But if you are selling at a gun show, which is legal as private to private sales are legal, you do need to avoid some Fed deciding to charge you as an unlicensed dealer.... for multiple sales. I happen to know a few of the dealers and others that frequent my local gun shows, and I always look them up to ask what if any undercover action has been going on. And being I am only miles from DC, we do get BATFE activity. Course, I almost never sell, only buy, so there's really not an issue.
