Looking for info on desmogging my 2001 standard. When using frost plugs, does it make any difference whether using cup type or convex? Also, do the plugs have to be sealed after installation, and if so, with what (JB Weld , etc)?
I am a new Valkyrie owner and have found a lot of very good info here already.

I used the cup type and JBWeld on top, flush with the surface for looks, even if the Kury covers hide it well.

I used some stuff you usually find on the parts counter at your local parts store. Comes in a tube with gray on the outside and black on the inside and you kinda knead it in your hand.

Desmog is pretty easy and if you want to read 'the' article on the art of desmoggification, have a look in the archives or shoptalk for Normands [Quexpress] article..

Brad: Just a as a side note, Don't know which one you have, The California model desmog is a little different than the 48 state model. but you probably already knew that.
