Wondering if anyone knows what seat I have? The original owner may have told me but I don't recall. I do know he said that the material on top was a velour or velvet and it held water like a sponge so he had it changed to vinyl. The little bit I have sat on it, it seems wide when you're standing, especially with the floor boards. I am 6' and can stand flat footed no problem and I know they are called fat ladies but jeees. I also have the factory saddle but have not put it on to try. I'll try them both out this summer.

I'd bet a uncomfortable one .....Not 100% sure but I'm thinking it' a " Saddlemen " brand....Could be a stock Standard / Tourer someone has redone also.

I didn't care for it because it was too wide in the front and seemed have too high a center of gravity.

Looks like either a Diamond Custom or Hartco. It has obviously been recovered in the center. I love the velour top on mine. It's been there for about 60,000 miles and I've not had a water problem with it.
I love the width because of my (_______________!______________) cooldude

I hafta agree with Warlock... Other than the diamond stitching down the middle, looks a lot like my Hartco...

(And yeah, the Hartco's are ugly, but especially for a, er hm, larger rider, I love mine!)

He may have said Hartco.....?  Not that it really matters. I was just curious. It will either be comfortable or not. I,m about 195. He is heavier than me. He said he liked it because it gives support under the thighs so your not just sitting on your tailbone.
Thanks guys.

Yep, as usual, Warlock is correct. That's a Hartco, I had one on my bike but couldn't use it because it was too wide for me. On the highway, it's fabulous, but when I had to put my short legs down at a stop, I had to mind my P's and Q's or I'd have some trouble.

Well NiteRider, I guess that settles it for sure. Hartco it is. I didn't get a passenger backrest though. I'll have to add that to the list of questions I have for him and give him a call. I really should pay more attention.  uglystupid2

I like the changes you've made. I haven't seen a supervalk I haven't liked. I'll take a wild guess and say that's Chevy Hugger Orange with the SS stripes and all.

Sorry to sidestep the topic, but I would like to know where you got the rear roll bars, NiteRiderF6. I'm painting my bags due to damage before I got her, and had similar guards on my old GL1100. I've been looking at rails, but that's the first time I've seen (or noticed) heavy guards like yours.
I have tried to find them on the usual vendors' sites, but apparently don't know what to type in the search box.
Thanks,
Fred.

Thanks custom1, it's been a great bike and I love her more and more every year. I patterned this bike after the Chevy Orange, but my painter talked me into this color, it's a close couson to Hugger but brighter. It's called a Tangelo Pearl; it took me  a while to come around to it, but its okay now. The pearl white is the same color that is on the Cadiallacs and it looks boss to me.

Hi Fred,
Those saddlebag rails came on the bike, they are the Hondaline rails that were orignally sold to go on the bike by Honda. There are a few people who make and sell them; but I heard one of our "Site Sponsors" was thinking of offering a set of the heavy ones like these. If that comes to fruition, that could be the way to go. MC Enterprises sells a pretty good set now and somebody has made some that are selling on Ebay from time to time, but they are getting mixed reviews. Good Luck!

Phred, thought I'd let you know you will spend an arm AND a leg getting a set in good shape.  I've seen them up to $1K.

The Hartco & Diamond seats are made by the same people, so they are probably the same.
I have the Diamond and I can ride all day and never have to get off. They are sooo comfortable.
Price is right too.
