We are just beginning to see the heavier flakes, signalling our next big snowfall here on Long Island, New York. (they are promising 12 to 16 inches)
And, even though we still have hardened hills of snow, along the roadways, from our 14-inch storm just eight days prior, I'm not as sad as I should be. I guess it's because I fired up my 2000 Interstate at nine this morning, and, despite the 24 degree temperatures.....went for a very rewarding 30-mile coffee ride, which included a damn good New York "everything" bagel. I stuck to the cleaner main roads, enjoyed the curious looks of the cagers, and relished the wonderous sound of the best motorcycle to ever tear up the highways.
The Valk is resting now in its heated barn room, and I can relax and enjoy the special peace and quiet that accompanies a snowfilled night. Best wishes to all.          Mike in New York

I ride a motorcycle because nothing transports me as quickly from where I am to who I am.

Sometimes 30 miles can clean the soul better than 300  Wink

Timing is everything.

it was halloween Gary  lol

I stopped by your place a week before christmas but you were out.  Said hello to  the dog thru the door but I dont think he remembered to tell you I was there

Was on the beemer  though I think I am addicted to the heated grips and the wind protection.  Valk is over 4 weeks now without even being started Sad  I havent tried to get the beemer up the driveway too much ice since the last snow on 12-26

Mike that was so true what you posted. It doesnt have to be a long ride to give the satisfaction of feeling the wind and getting to be out

It isn't the miles that count; its the smiles!
