Going to be near 40 here tomorrow that's pretty nice ridin' weather however the roads are still covered with nasty salt and most of the backroads still have ice in spots. My bikes are cleaned and detailed I think I'll wait for a good rain to wash the salt away before I go.

Both have Meds out the Wazoo.

Take care of yourselves and get better soon!

I was sick (just a cold) over Christmas, I'd rather have a plain old cold than a cold and be
pumped up on OTC cold pills... my mother-in-law tried to get me to take a bunch of that stuff,
it was like two forces of nature clashing (I won  Wink )...

I went to work today, I had to use four wheel drive to get off my property. I could have ridden the
Valkyrie after that.

No worries mate.

It could have not been the ride in the rain I just had to do on New Years Day.

It's of my own doing.

Pushing it.

But I am staying indoors as much as possible and taking meds.

Feel Better and plan to stay that way.

Thanks Though for the offer.

Joe, that is exactly the situation here, except we may get to 42-3.  My bikes are very clean and the roads are all like powdered sugar from salt and sand.  I won't put a bike away covered in that crap, so if I want to ride, I have to do a major hosing soapy wash too.   What I wouldn't do for a heatable garage with a drain in the floor.

I agree with heatable drain floor....I keep two of my bikes locked up with my boat the other and my 4 wheeler is in a shed built onto the garage. I've got a old wood stove in the garage however with it's size and all the pneumonia holes it does'nt do much but eat firewood....I call it a garage it's more like a barn  Undecided

Generally we get a 'wash' day once in awhile (rain).  That hasn't happened.  The roads are white with salt and snow and have been since before Christmas.

No riding here except for people without licenses and their little scooters.  Gotta give them credit (sorta). Grin

I was supposed to teach this weekend but an inexperienced guy in charge of the program canceled the class.  Oh well, I can spend some time in the garage  getting my new rear wheel and tire ready to mount and hook up running lights I mounted on the engine guards.  I won a Honda rear fender rack on ebay yeasterday for much less than they have been going for.  I had thought about mounting a trunk on the back but I really like the looks of a Valk without the pillion and sissy bar.  Hope to get it installed when it comes in next week too.  I still have snow and ice in my driveway and on the street so the bike will stay parked for another weekend.
Al, sorry to hear you are sick.  Take your meds and get well; we will have some riding to do in a week or two!

lol thats funny about the mopeds solo1, your right.  2funny

Now I have seen/ heard a farmer on his HD go up the road, usually about twice a week on his way to Laud. Even when it snowed and was in the single digit temps. Wont bother his bike since it has 1/2 a million miles on it and it looks like it to!

It got to about 50 here today, so I finally got to pull out my Valk today for the first time in 9 days. I got in about 130 miles before the temp started to drop again. It was a great day but still can't wait for spring. Smiley

Got some saddle time in yesterday and today..yesterday it actually hit 56, though we still had to stick to main roads, today was 42 and over cast.  Thought we would have to cut the ride a bit short when I saw a neighbors wife walking along the highway about 15 miles from town...neither of us had extra helmets, so called the wife and asked her to go pick her up... went back to tell the gal I'd called the wife...turns out she was out for a walk.......had to call the wife back and tell her to forget it.  Blew me away, her out walking, in a sweat shirt, 70 % chance of rain and 42 degrees...there I go making assumptions (ass-u-me)

It's just outside Ft. Payne Alabama...Look on the map and take Hwy.136 out of Resaca, Georgia ( exit 320 on I-75 ) it's a great road with nice twisties as you get closer to Cloudland State Park ...Hwy.35 out of Ft.Payne will take you into the canyon.
