I discuss it ANYWHERE ! ! Guns are safe, bullets do the damage. If they want the bullets that is ok because I intended to "send" them first

It is to be expected from the dirt-for-brains antigun lobby.
However, most of the elected soc-libs in government know what happens to politicians who push this agenda (they get voted out). And note, even with the dems in power in whitehouse and both houses, we (amazingly) had no significant anti-gun legislation considered for the last two years. It's not like they wouldn't love to go after our guns, but they have other socialism to push first.

I've heard that gun sales in Arizona have sky rocketed. Anti gunners will always look for an opportunity to pass their misguided agenda. No surprise really, sad, but no surprise. Blaming guns is as ignorant as blaming your keyboard when you spell something wrong. Had it been a Republican gathering their would likely have been many more armed citizens and the shooter may not have made it. Had the criminal in Arizona used a crossbow, would this same anti gun group be seeking to get rid of cross bows? True gun control is proper sight alignment, sight picture and POI matching POA. Mark

Just to make everyone aware this is what does the damage. It's the person. If not guns, then bombs, if not bombs, then knives, if not knives, then rocks,Abel of the bible can atest to that, but it's people that kill people not any other thing. What if he had just simply driven a Buick or SUV through the crowd. He would have no doubt killed many more. Or had a bomb in a Buick and the whole building would have been destroyed.

Following the tragedy in Tucson, I read something the other day that Tom Brokaw was quoted as saying that, given Arizona's concealed weapons laws, he would be worried to go into a restaurant or bar there.
What a douche bag. I have no worries being in a bar or restaurant in Arizona. The only place that worries me in Arizona is being in some of the state parks near the border, and that's because the federal government wont do its job.

I read that too. Funny, Juan Williams says he's scared to get on a plane with arabs in arab dress and gets fired, but Brokaw says he's afraid of armed Americans in an Arizona restaraunt and that's OK.
As far as I'm concerned, liberal media talking heads should be afraid to go around America in public. I'm not backing off hard speech, homegrown liberals are a greater danger to my Country than the Taliban, al-Qaida and the rest of the Middle Eastern fanatics put together.

I will talk about gun control anywhere anytime. I am so sick and tired of these anti-gunners geting on the TV and spewing there liberal BS. Especually that jackars Paul Helmke with his crap eating grin. It seamed like he was the first person the liberal media called after this tragedy. He was on TV after the VA tech shooting before the bodies were removed from the school. The NRA took the high road and stated that "they feel for the victims and there families and will make a statment when the time is right". One thing I do wish is that he would stop saying he is from Indiana. He is giving us Housiers a bad name. Mark my words though. Gabby Gifford with become the "New" Brady She is going to be the new poster child for gun control......With that said though, I hope she makes a full recovery......

Gabby may fool you.
I hope and pray for her to have a full recovery so she can at least enjoy her family.
She is Pro-Gun.
Pro Motorcylce and was a 20 year Rider and racer.
She is used to taking chances.
God Bless her and the other victims.
I encourage my friends to always carry their self-protection fire arms so I don't have to protect
the whole group.
One time in Chattanooga we took a wrong turn and all of a sudden they were very happy
I had a carry permit and had actually decided to carry a weapon that day.
So some may feel uneasy around a armed public, I understand, but it is a needless fear.

Helmkie was on WOWO last week. He mentioned he would like to see a smaller capacity mag, but did not say what size. Def no 30 rounder he said. Pat Miller said that why would it be ok for the cops to have 10 round mags but not citizens. He had nothing to say. He did mention he was ok with people owning guns. Tho he himself does not. I think he has a perma-grin..... We laid into it with a paramedic student/ride along last year about gun control. She was for it. My partner, who is a woman, let her have it! It was quite funny. Student wanted all assualt type weapons banned. No need for them. What she didnt know is they are the same caliber as other guns used for hunting. She never did come back to ride with us.

Most if not all anti-gun people including politians know diddly about guns. I watched a press conference on gun-control during the Clinton era assault ban. Diane Finstein was asking question of a gun expert. The expert picks up a Rugar 1022 rifile ( the same rifle that a lot of people oun, including me. I have two). Shows it to Finstein. She says "that one is ok". Next he picks up the rifle next to it. This rifle had a compensator on the barrel,30 round mag and a folding black plastic stock. She says that one should be banned. He points out it is the same rifle he just showed. It was stll a 1022 just with all the military looking stuff on it. Shoots the same ammo at the same rate of fire. But since that gun "looked" evil it must be banned. This is the same idiot that at another press conference was showing a AK47 to the press. The guns bolt is closed with a mag in it. Her finger is in the trigger guard and she is waving it at the room full of reporters. I'm thinking this dumbass does not know the first thing about gun safety. How does anyone know that gun is not LOADED. What is really scary is I heard that this freeking fool has a permit to carry a gun in San Fransisco. Now this woman is preaching to us on the evils of having guns and she has a cary permit.... I could go on and on about the idiocy of the anti-gun politians but I wont. Most of you know what I am talking about.

The drugs he was on were "banned" also. He still got them tho. What makes these people think guns would be any different? Just common sense.
"("In the wake of these kind of incidents, the trick is to move quickly," the Violence Policy Center's Kristen Rand told MSNBC.)" The key word in her statement is "trick".

Nothing could have prevented this tragedy. Nothing. He had no record. He bought it through the proper channels and was not denied. Gun free zones are mearley good guy gun free zones. As MAD6Gun says, the drugs are banned too. I hope and pray the victims all recover and heal as well as God will allow.

I have always thought the 1000' law was such a joke.
"I am a gunman. I am going to kill my teacher and classmates in school today. I take 3 guns, and 250 rounds of ammo, and head to school. At the 1000' line, I stop, and say to myself' Crap. I have to go home. I cannot cross this line, because I will be breaking the law' ".
Do you really think someone out to kill another, is going to stop because of an imaginary 1000' line?
Anyone who proposes, or believes in, such a law, is dumber than a rock.
BTW. Is the 1000' law about schools, etc still in effect? It was passed, but I thought I heard it was thrown out, but now I have heard it is still law.
Everyone around here is a felon if it still is. In a small town, EVERYONE has to pass within 1000' of the school to get into town. To get to my place, the highway butts up against the school playground. Does that mean everyone that travels that road with a gun during hunting season is committing a felony?

Just you wait. After the Arizona shooting, I predict the libs will be pushing for a mandatory mental evaluation (at your cost) in addition to a beefed up federal background check before you can purchase a gun. They will NOT stop in their pursuit to ban guns.

If they would just pass legislation banning the shooting of elected officials I'm sure we would not be having this discussion. Maybe they should pass a law making natural disasters illegal too,WTF are our representatives thinking? maybe if we pay them to ban hurricanes, tornado, floods, earthquakes, locust, starving children......
