Take a good look above the  head and make sure it isn't coming from around the t-stat housing or hoses and running down to the head gasket.

had to replace both head gaskets at 95000mi. Had water in the oil an steam coming out the exhaust.
I did a valve job ,had the heads checked for cracks an milled flat, polished the ports.Easy to do an it runs great at 115000miles

That would only be the second head gasket I heard of failing

Think I'd check the intake runners o-rings first to see if they're bad. You'll get "gunk" of all sorts if they're hardened and compressed, causing leaks/seepage. Easier than pulling the head. But if you do pull the head and do all that to one side...valve job, milled head, etc., I'd consider doing it to both sides for balance if nothing else. Just my simple mind making suggestions.

I would think a compression test and a leak down test would be next in the order of things to do.

Simply skipping important testing and jumping to conclusions isn't good mechanics.

around the head gasket there a 4 nubs that stick out the top 2 half a small amount of dried green gunk around the bottom front is where it seeps from and the bottom rear one has dries green gunk arouns it and where it comes up by the rear cam cover long the gasket is dried green gunk. i was in disbelief of a bad gasket but off it has to come and send the head off to crck for cracks plain the head on new valve seals or maybe valve job. bike ojly has 36,000 miles

If you don't have a good automotive machine shop in your area, I would be happy to help. I own an automotive machine shop in the Seattle area and have machined Valk heads for other VRCC members.

PM if interested,

my head gasket supposedly failed and I stupidly let the stealership fix it . Was it real damaged ? not sure. I was getting steam up inside my windshied. I did chech the radiator fluid which was real funky and the stealer said oil was seeping into the water??
