I have a few items for sale.  I have received a potential buyer response from the UK and I think it may be a hoax.  Has anyone here ever sold overseas?  Has anyone received weird responses that actually were fake?

A year or so ago I had a similar incident from a sale ad where a respondent wanted to send a crazy large sum (money order) to me for me to cash and rebate him the difference.  Of course I didnt do that.  This time the wording was similar but the dollar amount was not stated.

Who has had this type of experience?

Thanks,

Greg

If it sounds like a duck...  Walks like a duck...

If you feel funny about the contact, just ask for their VRCC#...

Hey Flat6 I have sold all over the world thru my site ValkyrieSwag and Valk stuff that I have acquired.Never a problem with oversea sales. Not once. Always paid thru PayPal and never money orders or cheques just PayPal. Sold to all over Europe,North America and Japan.Just be firm on the PayPal.
If You have doubts about  a UK buyer, why not post on the UK board and ask about them?

Sound like this:

"Id like to buy your item, get back to me with your last price and current condition of item"

Or if you have a want ad:

"I have the item you are looking for in stock"

ya ya ya....delete it and dont even think about it
