I have had the Audiovox CC on my bike for about 45000 miles or 4 years now. On my last trip, 3000 miles last week it still worked somewhat. When I hit the "set" or "resume" button it takes what seems like a long time (2-3 minutes) before it sets. It just started doing this. Before it would set almost instantly. Everything else seems to work fine with very good response times. The servo is powered by vacuum and that's where I think the problem must be. I have ruled out the servo cable because when I hit the brake it still releases instantly. That's a good thing.

Has anybody experienced a similar problem and how did you fix it? TJ

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Have you ruled out a vacuum leak? Bad one-way valve (should be between your source(s) and your reservoir)

I think I found it. Vacuum hose was kinked where it connects to the servo. I was in the process of plugging the vacuum supply hoses and pulling a vacuum at the servo. I never pulled a vacuum as the kinked hose would make for a very slow response and if there was a small leak it would result in CC not working at all. Thanks Daniel for the quick response. TJ

Mine did that only when the cable slipped thru the mount clamp and I got a lot of slack in the chain. Pulled cable back and retighten clamp fixed problem.
