Hi y'all, I just received new front and rear brake pads. They look exactly the same, except, the front pads have 2 round indentations. Are they interchangable with the rears? I have extra front pads and would like to use them on the rear. Advise me please.

The rear pads are also thicker than the fronts.  I wouldnt interchange them but I think I have heard others that have "made" them work

Yes ..what Chris said .  They are interchangeable but you don't want to do that.  The rear pads are about 50% thicker than the front pads.   A few years ago I went to the dealer to pick up a set of pads for my '98 Tourer.  Not knowing this , it was my first time pad replacement ..the counter guy gave me three pair of the same (front) pads.   I didn't know he had given me the wrong pads for the rear untill next brake job...I was a little torqued that I had to replace the rear pads when the front still had plenty of pad left.   When the counter guy (different) handed me the new rear pads I noticed the part number was not the same...as the front !!  I know now. I hope this can save someone from the unknowing counter people.  Thank GOD they are a breeze to change, LOL.

I've done it before but just until I could get some new pads for the right application. I ran some rear pads down to metal and didn't want to stop riding until new pads came in.

Honda, on my 03 wing listed three different part numbers for brake pads. If you get after markets all three are the same..
The rears were alot thicker. So when I got pads for my Valk I purchased the OE pads.. Mother Honda would be proud!!
