I've been looking for a cb for my 2003 standard and see a clarion unit complete with mounting kit and antenna for 500.00

Anyone have any experience with these or have any opinions on this set-up?

i don't know anything about the clarion ~ the J&M is very good, I don't recommend their antenna though, go to truck stop and get a 2-3ft "firestick" type aftermarket and associated mounting hardware.
This is what I have, but on a different Valk now. Ken

I have had the clarion on my tourer before I sold it. I think the sound quality is better on the clarion as far as others understanding you. The J&M works well but has more options like a weather channel. J&M tech support is very good and helpful. I have friends that have the J&M and it seems some work better that others.
