I saw a photo in the pics section of a Valk with these bags on it, and I love the looks. Has anybody had good or bad experience with them?

Thanks for any input...!

Lots of people have them. There's a thread right now where people are talking about how they painted them...

Except for the pinstripe (I'm just not a pinstripe guy...) I'm pretty partial to this one...

I have them and they are nice. They look good, (I like the mono look on the bags) and they have never leaked. I am looking to move into something a little larger though. I will most likely be selling them soon.

Got 'em on my '99 and I put a set om my buddy's VTX too.
I like the way they look on a Valk & they are pretty solid, no leaks which is more than I can say for the Corbin bags I had on my Rocket. The mounting rail that NC sells is good but.... I had AWFUL trouble making the Dzus fasteners supplied with them work. So much trouble that I snapped the female part off the brackets, tossed the fasteners & bolted the bags on instead. Problem solved. I could not get the Dzus fasteners to line up at all. I lost the "quick release" feature but who cares? Takes less than 5 minutes to get 'em off. They are not as roomy as the stock Tourer bags & there is no tip over protection but for the price I paid for them & the brackets I couldn't go wrong.  cooldude The lock set-up isn't the greatest but it works well.
I have seen a really good looking set-up for Valk hardbags on E-bay by a place called "Cavalry Customs" or something like that. I think they went for around $700-$800 plus reasonable shipping costs if my memory serves me. That was black only. Do a search & check them out.

Het Scoot,
My Valk is red/white like yours, so let me know if you decide to sell them.

Thanks!

Good info Joe.
The mounting system for the NC Cruiserliners is a pretty good one. Chrome brackets that actually fit the bike & hold the bags steady. Just those damn Dzus fasteners. I can't be the only one that had trouble with the Dzus!  Embarrassed
I ended up with around $610 in the whole bag set-up so I guess I did alright. I know I could fab up a nice strong mount set for the Cavalry bags but why should you have to?  tickedoff
