Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

We hooked up in Knoxville , Tennesseee yesterday at the Honda dealer for a ride toward The Great Smoky Mountains. The plan was to circle Cades Cove and check out the elk , deer and bears however just as we got to the " Y " we started seeing salt on the road so we turned and headed for The Dragon. We crossed The Foothills Parkway and hit some snow on top but the road was fine with just several wet spots from the weather warming up.

US 129 The Dragon  was looking good until we started up the mountain right before the over-look and we started seeing that nasty salt again. We was hanging out at the over-look when Al the owner of www.moonshinephoto.com stopped in to shoot the chit with us. He claimed the salt only got worse toward North Carolina.

All three of us had cleaned our bikes up so the salt ride was NOT a option....Let's go get some lunch.

I got in just under 200 miles yesterday and we plan on riding tomorrow ( Sunday ) as well .

The Money Shot....Taken at the bridge to nowhere that crosses The Little River at the base of The Great Smoky Mountains.

I've got a nice loop in mind that will take us around Watts Bar Lake and some very nice twisties and sweepers. I think you will enjoy the ride and scenic views it will offer....9:30 @ Hardree's in Clinton  cooldude

I got in around 100 miles today, went to a local gun show and a few back roads.  Been about a month what with working and a couple of weekend funerals.  Might just do it again tomorrow!!!

I'm still up in the air, With this wedding being on the 30th, I've contemplated coming up and leaving around mid day on the 29th to make it back in time. Is your group planing on leaving fairly early? If so, I would like to meet up with y'all to enjoy some riding since i cant stay the entire time at Inzane.

I think the plan is to leave The Great State Of Tennessee on Monday July 25 and take two days with the scenic route getting to ground zero....We'll work with you best as we can to get a hook-up point....As of right now I'll have ( 4 ) Valkyries counting mine in the group.
