Some time ago I asked a question about how to get the screws out of the front bezel that holds the speakers to to front shroud. I found out that they are lock tighted in. While taking out the screws, it twisted the threaded sleve or nut inside the front shroud out of it's hole. The solution was to put epoxy in the hole and re-insert the threaded sleve into the front shroud holes. Well to my suprize I could not break loose the threaded sleve off of the screw and the threaded sleve broke and now I will have to figure how to get the remaining broken sleve off the screw. The screws are available for purchase but can't find the threaded sleve that the screw is supposed to screw into. Anybody have any idea what to do. Thanks Mke.

I believe the part #90316-MJ-000 is what you need, glue the new insert back in with JB Weld and never-seez the screw.

Thanks for the input. I went to my service manual and it didn't show that part at all so then I went to cheapparts.com and in their break down they didn't show it either. Thanksagain. Mike.

If you type in fairing nuts in the Old Tech archives tab and scroll down to Valk I/S part number you will find that another member found the part#. It is not on any fische. It can be ordered by a Honda dealer. Hope this helps.

At the top of this page in gold, it says (Home page) (photostash) (just pics) (shop talk) Old tech archives) click on the old tech archives, on the right side of the page type in the search words, select all from the drop down box, search.

When I did a search of the Old Tech Archives, the part # that I found for the brass inserts is 90316-MJ1-000. Not sure if your part # is right or mine. I'll call Honda Directline tomorrow and find out.

I am holding a bag of 10 packages of those inserts and the number on each individual package is 90316-MJ1-000 and the matching screw is 90107-MBY-000.

You are not the first to strip these out and surely won't be the last one either.
I managed to mess up 2 of them during my current project. tickedoff

Good luck and hope this info helps you out.
So now every other helping person can save their quarter on those phone calls to the Honda Dealerships. cooldude
