Just wanted you all to know...Bob (RTaz) will have surgery tomorrow on his wrist. It will be a wrist fusion. Hopefully this will take care of most of the pain. He will have donated bone used to fuse it. I would like to take this opportunity to Thank anyone who has donated anything...including blood. You are giving a most precious gift. It will be done @ U of M Hospital. We should be home sometime Tuesday. Hoping and praying that the surgery goes as planned so the healing can begin and maybe he can be riding again by InZane. Take Care!!  Wink

Good luck Bro.

If it is your right wrist, put an electronic cruise control on the bike.

Don't bother asking why.     Been there done that....   Also, that wrist will be no good to get a pulse out of.

Thoughts and prayers coming from Ia for ya and the Mrs. as we speak.

Prayers from the Westside! Please tell Bob he's in good hands at U of M hospital. . . It's one of the best in the world! My Mom spent many days, weeks and months throughout her life there and they saved my brothers life after a terrible motorcycle accident in 1970. They’ll take care of it.

Dew and I are looking forward to seeing you dear folks again this summer. God Bless

I know a few things about what he is having done. LISTEN AND DO WHAT THE DOC TELLS HIM and he should be feeling better in 6 to 8 weeks.

Prayers and positive waves from NJ.

Wink Thanks everyone....as most of you know I'm no stranger to wrist surgeries I've been a case study at U.M .Hand Clinic and Dr. Kevin Chung a world renown professor of surgery since 1999...I believe this is my 10th surgery and hopefully my last on my left wrist/hand...after many years and a few broken screws in my hand I decided to have all the bent metal and screws taken out... they will be replaced with some donor bones and 6-8" metal plate with 7 screws ...this should take away most of the acute hand pain and hopefully allow me to build some strength back into my hand and arm...I fully intend to be riding by summer and hopefully this year at InZane XI... I will actually be able to ride with all you guys...I believe my string of bad luck has run its course I feel much better in mind, body and spirit...I can't wait to welcome you all back to Michigan and for those that are coming for the first time your going to love it... cooldude

How did you damage your wrist to get all these surgeries started ?

Well...I snapped the head of a bolt off with a t-handle wrench...felt something snap in my hand and it swelled all up...swelling lasted awhile went to a doctor ( company idiot ) they sent me to a therapist that proceeded to tear all the ligaments that hold the bones together in hand...well I've had a series of re-attachment surgeries then I had a fall and shattered the wrist...more metal...then I tore up that metal and replaced it with some more new procedures it's been okay for about 4-5 yrs but 8 screws started to back out and this last x-ray showed a few screws broke ...time for a permanent fix...

ps.....I was a die setter and press major on 2000 ton cold form press's in the auto industry...32yrs

Come on Rtaz we all know it's due to you sitting on your thumbs!!  2funny

Sorry couldn't resist the humor.  Heal up bud and I hope this is the last of your surgeries for your wrist.  You have lots of work to do or rather to point and delegate!!  Look forward to seeing you back in your state for InZane XI.  You and your chapter did an amazing joy with last years InZane (along with the National staff).

God's speed!

Sorry about the fall, glad you're doing better than you had hoped for. As long as the weather is this bad, might as well both be laid up together. Both of you heal quickly and fully.
