Saw an ad for a 98 tourer on the Spokane craigslist, supposedly a dealer..sent him an email..this is the reply...
This bike will make you proud,the price is $2,750.It is in excellent condition,never been involved in accidents,1500cc ,16,703 miles, VIN: 1HFSC3435WA100951,clean and clear title,no mechanical problems,no scratches,flaws or any kind of damage,all functional and it will need nothing in the near future.
I have the bike sealed at DAS terminal in West Palm Beach,FL ready to be shipped out will take 4-5 days through DAS and it will be free,my previous buyer(his loan did not get approved)already paid for it and DAS didn't want to refund him the shipping fee.
I cannot meet face2face I have a new job in Tucson, AZ I would like to use Autotrader Vehicle Purchase to take care of this deal, smooth and safe. Let me know if you have any other questions, hope i didn't miss anything.

Same pics @ same price pop up now and then all around the NYC area as well. I just click on the 'prohibited' link at the top of the page. (Yes, scams are prohibited  ) When enough people do that, the listing is removed by the system. |

There is no doubt it is a scam..seen it too many times, maybe not the same bike, but the same load of crap..I always report them, which doesn't even seem to slow them down..I certainly hope no one gets bit by these ads...common sense goes a long way..

Well I get flagged everytime I try to sell some rims and tires that came with my Dodge Ram I bought, and it's no scam. I don't know if Craigslist knows the difference.

I believe you can call it spam. I wanted to go look at the bike in West palm. Suddenly never heard another word from the seller. Seems he wanted the $ first. Now if that isn't spam? This ad has been all over the US and has been pulled on more than one occasion but keeps comiong back. Tell him you want to see the bike in person-see what happens next. |
