I’m getting itchy for another little trip this spring.
Has anyone taken a Fat Lady up to Goose Bay Labrador on the Trans Labrador Highway?
How was the road? How many miles of gravel?
Better or worse than the Dalton or Top of the world highways?

The best roads are worse that the little two lane roads here in SC. The ruts form lakes and are scary as hell!   And you'll find no shortcuts!

You'll spend as much time on ferrys as roads. (an overstatement) Take it as a warning!

I found Nova Scotia and Cape Breton (Ride the Cabot Trail) a bit more enjoyable. (not much)

Spring is waaay too early!  More like late August would be slightly more comfortable.  I went in middle July. (still was too early)

Take plenty of rain gear. (You'll need it!)

Local municipal campgrounds are beautiful (best part), but faar apart! I camped behind some churches and in some graveyards! (looking for level ground)

Prince Edward Island is very nice indeed and can easily be "in the loop".

Not trying to knock Labrador but for me it was "I got to get off this island"! Saw a lot of whales tho!

Bring lots of money!!

Be sure to check out the Bay of Fundy! (It's the tides)
