I spent nearly a day in and around Denver last thursday and some of friday, I got an ear full of liberal talk radio. one angry white dude in the middle of the night was saying that the Tucson madman was 'just exercising his second amendmant rights'. he says things like this to be qouted and gain notoriety, but, his view is we need more gun control. problem is gun control is for law abiding citizens, not criminals. there was a push from someone in congress to keep loaded weapons at least 1000 feet from representitives. could you pick your rep out of a line up? I don't think I could. there is no law that will protect us all, we should accept that we all can and should be able to protect ourselves.

I think the push should be to keep loaded representatives (and politicians in general) at least 1000 feet from weapons (loaded or unloaded) or maybe just any talk of weapons.   LOL     Those public servants deserve no more protection/security than any other citizen in which they are supposed to serve.

We have our illustrious Paul Helmke of the Brady gun control group giving a speech at the Purdue campus in Ft. Wayne coming up.  He started out as mayor of Ft. Wayne, then ran for Congressman 4th district and couldn't even win in his home town.

Now he's working as chief ranter for the Brady Antigun.  He even writes for the Huffingtom Post.  Not bad for a former unsuccessful Republican politician.   His father is probably spinning in his grave.
