I just became the third owner of my second Valk, figure that out.  Anyways, the previous owner had the exhaust cut and added 24" extentions.  It sounds good but I like the "Steath Mode" the stock Valk provides.  It looks like someone drilled out the "piggies" at the end of the chamber.  Any ideas on repairing it?  I was wondering if I bought a crashed set, I could cut and weld them back on. Any ideas?  Thanks.  Bill

You can put piggies back on, but if the baffles have been drilled out, they're going to stay that way.  Mark-T sells what he calls piggy plates that he's cut off from other exhausts that he'll sell that you could tack back on your exhaust.

I might not give the answer that you want me to

Cruise Pinwalls Ebay site, usually plenty of stock systems. Currently a couple of 6x6 as well.

Thanks for the info.  Here's what I'm dealing with.  Not pretty. AAHHH?  (First time posting a picture, how do you do it?)  Anyways, until I figure that out, it looks like someone with a hatchet cut the baffles out.  What if I got another set off e-bay and had the chamber(?) attached/welded to the pipes just passed where the chrome ends?  Are there any after market pipes that are close to quiet as the oems?

Thanks;
Bill

The best way to post a picture is to use a secondary source for the picture rather that your own personal computer storage files.

I use Photobucket!

When you transfer a picture from your file to Photobucket (which is free) you must have an account with Photobucket which is also free!

After all the preliminary work has been done and you now have the picture stored in your Photobucket account you are offered three or four types of means to transfer that photo. Each appears at the bottom of the photo and you simply copy the information offered for that photo and paste it into you reply here on the forum.

Always check in the review of your reply to insure the photo is appearing. If the photo does not appear simply copy the next information provided by Photobucket and repeat the process until you have copied the correct information and it shows up as a photo when you review your reply.

A little practice will produce the desired effect.

You might be able to mix and match parts and come up with a decent looking set of pipes, but your best
bet is probably to keep your eye on eBay/Classifieds/whatever and pick up an already decent set for
$300-$500...

Got the picture thing figured (Thanks Ricky-D)  Thanks everyone else for the posts and info.  I found what looks like a decent set, we'll see.  This is what I found when I took of the 24" stack extentions.  Nice!

Ouch! Shocked

As others have said just buy another set of untouched stockers and save yourself LOTS of headache and frustration.  cooldude

Looks like someone did what they call a Ragnar cut on the exhaust.

I think that looks pretty normal actually.

Trying to remove the guts will take you down the same road
and you can do a lot more to get additional "insides" out.

Just need the can to remain in order to attach the final end piece.
Seems that the additional support supplied by the piggies is "no big loss".

I condsidered that that was the way it looked when you cut the piggy's.  Never done it.  But it bothers me that something on the bike looks that hacked, even tho you can't see it.  Maybe I'll get over it?  It's strange, but it wouldn't bother me if it was on my car, or truck, or bobcat, or excavator, or just about any other machine.

I guess what it looks like when you are done is determined by whether you have cutting tools and drills, or just a crow-bar
or maybe a shotgun  Wink ...

Mine looked like this when I got the bike, piggies cut and baffles drilled... I hated it...
