The little widget called the "Dashboard", that has the calculator, WX forecast, clock and calendar...

How do you change the default settings on that puppy? It defaults to Memphis for WX forecasts and Calgary for the time. Neither of them help me much! ???

per my resident IT support person   Smiley

on the wx screen, look for a small icon that is an italic   i    should let you change the location for WX
as for time, you have to go to system prefrences to date and time to set the time zone

YMMV

FBM05 - thank you kindly!! There is also an italic i on the clock for adjusting it. Just far fewer options there. Thanks again!

Also, if you haven't noticed it, when you have Dashboard open look in the bottom left corner of the screen and you'll see a circle with a cross in it. Click that and you'll find a bunch of other Widgets. If you see one that you want to use, click it once.

You'll also see a button labeled "Manage Widgets". That will take you to where you can find a few thousand others of all sorts of categories. Most are free. It's pretty much an automatic process to download and install them.
