The Landmass Between Mobile And New Orleans

« on: February 02, 2011, 06:57:34 PM »

Found these on Direct Line Parts but there is no mention of rise and pullback.  They have another set that mention they are just chromed versions of the stock risers.  If anyone knows the rise and pullback of these, I'd appreciate it.

Do you actually have a set and know or are you going by the pic?  They are the same style but i think they are a little bit longer.

I must admit that I do not have a set of those risers. Just my opinion. I have a set of these risers.

P.S. Give HDL a call and give them the part # of those risers and get the information from them. Good luck.       cooldude

Everybody raves about the LaMonsters but I don't like the way they or any other squared riser looks.

Got a set of those on Kim's '98. They are just chrome versions of the stockers identical in size & shape to the unchromed stockers on my '99.
BTW I'm a LaMonster raver too, got them on my '97. Perfect!

These are the ones DLP lists as the same size as stock.  http://directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=358&str=2

These are the ones I'm wondering about.  http://directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=265&str=2

Call HDL and ask someone to put a tape measure on the new ones.

Better yet, ask them to take a pic of them side by side (OE size and new), and one on top the other, and post it.

It's not like VRCC collectively hasn't spent a few thousand bucks with them over the last decade (and continuing).

why don't you look at daryl's 4 inch risers at xf6-custom.  you don't have to change any cables, and they put the bars right where you want them.

Called Directline today and they didn't have a clue.  they even looked through the old Honda catalogs they had and couldn't find any info.  So I decided to take a chance from an ebay seller that had them for $40.  I'll post pics and let you know what I find out.

I don't know about the actual products, but close examination will show you these are the exact same photo.

I don't think they are Fred.  They are both made by Honda like the stock risers.  One is a chromed version of the stock.  The guy selling the other one on ebay posted a photo for me and after reviewing Tim Skelton's thing on how to measure rise and pullback, it appears the risers I was looking at have a 4 inch rise.  When I get them in, I will post pics of the stock beside this one.
