Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

« on: February 03, 2011, 03:07:58 PM »

I'm headin' that way next week should roll in on tuesday evening if I can get the equipment I've got on the trailer now unloaded south of Nashville, Tennessee on monday in a timely manner...Any VRCC in this area ?

College Station is a city in Brazos County, Texas, situated in East Central Texas in the heart of the Brazos Valley. The city is located within the most populated region of Texas, near three of the 10 largest cities in the United States - Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. The population estimate as of 2006 is 86,000.

College Station and Bryan together make up the Bryan-College Station metropolitan area, the sixteenth largest metropolitan area in Texas with 203,371 people.

College Station is home to the main campus of Texas A&M University, the flagship institution of The Texas A&M University System. The city owes both its name and existence to the university's location along a railroad. Texas A&M's triple designation as a Land-, Sea-, and Space-Grant institution reflects the broad scope of the research endeavors it brings to the city, with ongoing projects funded by agencies such as NASA, the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research.

Due largely to the size of Texas A&M University, College Station was named by Money magazine in 2006 as the most educated city in Texas, and the 11th most educated city in the United States

I'm about 1:30 away in Cedar Park. You are getting a little closer to the Texas Hill Country. Take a couple of extra days off and you can ride my spare Valk.

A very kind offer and I can only wish . We are very busy with the plans of phasing out two fossil steam plants and getting three nukes up and running.... I'll have to roll in and out of Texas in a timely manner  Undecided   Again the offer is much appreicated just the same cooldude

We're definitely "near by" by Texas standards.  Odds are that, with notice, we could drift up that way and visit with you

It will depend on my getting unloaded monday as the time frame I hit College Station. I don't see me getting there until late tuesday early wednesday. I'll post from my lap-top monday night I'll have a better idea. Sure wish I had the money on my hip it would be great to load up that M109R and bring it back to God's Country with me.

Joe:
As a fightin' Texas Aggie, Class of 1976, we welcome you to Aggieland.  We think you will find it a pleasant place to visit.  Unfortunately, we no longer live in that area.  We are down there occasionally, however, as our youngest is in school there.  Have a safe trip.

We trudge on.

in the 90's the famous bumper sticker in the Texas area was "My Daughter and my money go to Texas A&M"

I was passing through the College Station area back then and saw a bumper sticker on an old beatup pickup with a young guy driving it.    Bumper Sticker said

"I SPENT YOUR MONEY AND DID YOUR DAUGHTER AT TEXAS A&M"

My daughter lives there. My best friend an Aggie. Favorite Aggie joke. Two Aggies going down the rode. The driver ask his friend to look out the window to see if the blinker is working. He says: yes...no...yes...no...yes...no

Looking for Smokin' Joe and expected itinerary.  Maybe we can mob him upon arrival in Texas A & M area.  Bring us up to date, Joe.

He is easy to spot.

Likes Mexican Food.

Valkyies and Fat Woman that cook and clean and do windows.

I don't know why it just seems he rolls with Fat Girls.

Oh wait a minute that's what he rides a Fat Girl.

My Bad.
