Have mine on the crash bars, one on each end in front of the timing belt cover.

Yup .... just remove the existing bolt .... add the bell to some kind of holder (I made mine out of a piece of 1/8" aluminum) and replace the bolt. There is plenty of thread engagement.   coolsmiley

I'm not all that familar with the guardian bell thing.  I've heard that you're not suppose to buy one yourself, that they're supposed to be a gift.....right?

But why are they supposed to be mounted low on the bike?  Haven't heard that before.  Seen alot of them mounted to the lower triple tree on alot of Harleys before.  Is that a Harley thing....or did they just do it wrong?

If given by a friend or loved one it double's the power.....I would'nt ride to the mailbox without one.If it's not placed at the lowest point it's useless.

My wife gave me mine.  She found a sterling silver one at what we used to call a head shop.

Yep I also have heard that you should hang them as low as possible and that they double the power if given to you instead of buying your own..

Well mine was given to me by a friend; he picked it up when he was over in Switzerland many years ago. It road many miles hanging from the underside of the frame on my 78 GL1000 I took it off the day I gave away my Gold Wing I touched the leather strap that held it on and the leather just fell to dust when I grabbed it. I guess the bell new it was my last day of ownership on that old GW, time to let go of that bike.  Now it happily resides on the helmet lock on my I/S, I know that is not very low but I installed it there the night I rode my Interstate home from the shop that sold it to me and it was dark out and I was in a hurry to attach it and get my fat Lady home.  And have just never gotten around to moving it yet. Oh I used a fairly heavy key ring to attach it this time.

Yes I know it is not what most call a guardian bell but that is what he bought it as when he was over there and the meaning and love behind the gift is enough for me to believe in it.

I hung mine from the speedo cable holder on the left side of the front fender. A thief removed it so I hope his Karma is very bad. When I get another one I'll use zip ties to secure it better.

Mine hangs from the safety chain holder on my trailer hitch.    Been there for 242K+ miles.    My middle grandson gave it to me as a joke one Christmas, and when he found out what I did with it he did some research and now his dad wears one on his Chopper that Austin gave him.

He gets them somewhere out in Washington state.

Well, I dont believe in any "power" of the stupid thing......but a friend of mine bought me one at Daytona so....I didnt see any harm in hanging it.  I didnt know about any rules about "lowest" point, but I actually found the lowest point.  I just thought it looked good here...Joe, better move yours this is quite a bit lower

PS..my bad Joe.....looks like yours is attached to the motor, I thought I read you had yours on the crash bar too......  crazy2

Had one but fell off. Mounted it with a zip tie like farther did. Now I use a old cow bell that my dead billy goat wore.  crazy2 I tell folks that it gives the HD's a heads up that I'm coming.  Evil

Originally mine was mounted to the RH engine guard bolt but eventually moved it down to the water pump housing .... prolly lowest point on the bike.  On the bell is a Bear ...."The protector and symbolizes physical strength and leadership as well as the wild, untamable side of humanity"(Native American Animal Symbol)
