Bald River Falls

Valparaiso IN

« on: February 06, 2011, 08:19:17 PM »

Made my 16 trip to Kauai 2 weeks ago. Fantastic as always as its my second home away from home.
This time I hiked 8 miles down the Napali coast to a waterfall.
Here is the Napali coast

The reason I like Kauai is the miles of deserted beaches.

Here is the Bamboo growing along the way with my love of 33 years which we celebrated while there

Here is the waterfall in the middle of nowhere

oh yeah,, great seafood too. If you ever get to Kauai, the beach house rest is the best

Yes that is one big bacon wrapped scallop

Then I rented a Harley Heritage for one day and a road king the next day and rode up to Waimea Canyon. 10 miles of great switchbacks and curves to the top and get a great canyon view.

I have got to say, renting a Harley sure curred me of ever having the itch to buy one. I missed my valk so bad with all its smoothness and power on the hills. My wife even commented, "Wow your bike sure is much nicer than this".
The gal in the harely shop when I rented the road king asked me if I was used to big bike. I replied "bigger than anything you got here"
Yup,, I sure wish I had my valk there but had to take what I could get

Very nice! Ya' know, someone could make a good business sending a Valk over there and renting it out just to us Valk owners!

Nice photos. Gawd, I could use some decent seafood.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.
