Well I jumped on the bandwagon yesterday and ordered the $49.95 risers off of ebay! and now I can add them to my oil and filter that I'm patiently waiting to change due to my garage not being heated. and yes the wanna ride fever is setting in!

Hoosiervalk I ordered a pair of those and it only took 3 days to arrive at my house in Mi. US mail isn't that slow. I took a small nylon rope and tossed it over a rafter. Tied both ends to the handlebars and when I removed the screws they hung there waiting for me. I also put a folded blanket on the tank just in case. Wasn't that bad in my unheated garage, oil wouldn't flow very well.
Ken how did you get your OEM risers to look so good ? Mine need some polishing to come closer to the new inserts I added.

Hey Bone that sounds like a great idea hanging the bars. and yes I already have a small scratch on my tank from the bars. this is my first year of using the battery tender and not even starting her up.I have thought about taking that cover off many times and turning that key!

Ken that worked great. Wish I would have tried it before I put the bars back. Thanks

Hoosiervalk let it rest. I pull the battery and keep it in the basement of the house. I do start them pretty early in the season. Those brief start-ups during storage are not good for any engine.

UTAH we are all different, arm length, upper body height, weight and age. I have 39 years on you and as we age our bodies change. After riding a tank of gas are you comfortable ? Upper back aches, shoulder aches, tired arms can be lessened or prevented by adjusting our riding position. The risers raise our forearms which change load put on our shoulders, our body lean toward the windshield. Fine tuning our bikes seating position, foot pegs etc. can lengthen our time in the seat and make it much more enjoyable.
