PGR Members Ladies and Gentlemen I have had the Honor once again to represent the Patriot Guard Riders at the Waterloo Memorial Day Biker Rally Committee meeting. We just concluded our first meeting, 1 of approximately 7 that I need to attend. Each meeting is a 100 mile round trip drive for me as well as a 100 to 115 mile route that I will recon twice before Memorial Day ( which needs my 100 mile round trip to get to the start of the route). When all is said and done I will have anywhere between 1,300 - 1,500 miles and 50 - 60 hours of my time into this ride. And I LOVE it!!! It is time well spent, the effort has been a great fundraiser for Veterans and for the Patriot Guard Riders. The turnout of the PGR at last years Rally was great and the Town of Waterloo and the Committee really appreciated our participation and leadership on the run, and I am asking you to PLEASE consider attending this years run on Memorial Day May 30, 2011. I'm sending this out now because as a rider in New York I'm ready to fire that motor up and rumble down the road!! Unfortunately that's not going to happen in the next couple of weeks, I do want you to have the heads up.........to put this on your calendar. This is a major fundraising event for us, and all I need you to do is show up. The route is in its planning stage and looks like another great scenic ride thru the Finger Lakes Region. The food at last years event was fantastic, I was one of the last in line (even though I led the ride) and it was plentiful, fresh, and delish. We decided to repeat the same process this year too. Have I said enough yet....it's February in New York...get ready to ride, it's coming. Those of you who belong to other organizations or Clubs, please get this date posted on as many calendar events sites as possible, as our President Dave Kern has stated, we need to fund raise!!! I'm starting now and need your help..........again...just showing up...to have a good time.
