It's cultural... When I was in Moscow 20 years ago it was even crazier. Our taxi thought nothing of cutting two lanes into oncoming traffic in a TAXI. Not NEARLY as maneuverable as that bike was!

O-K we were all young and bullet proof-ONCE. I'd like to think-key word here-THINK that i might have gotten a little bit more aware of the possible consequences of my actions as i've gotten older. Do i still ride to fast?? I ride a valkyrie-you figure it out!! That being said-call it what you will i've noticed the survival bug-the fear bug - call it what you want it talks louder now and i've noticed-I TEND TO LISTEN TO IT MORE AND HEED IT MORE THAN I EVER HAVE!! After watching that vid-maybe that aint such a bad thing afterall. I sincerely hope that dud er dude never moves here to the U S of A. Ride safe boys and girls.

What, no wheelie when splitting the double white into the oncoming traffic...? Sissy!   Undecided

Definitely brought back some memories of splitting lanes on the freeways of So Cal back in the day 30 plus years ago on the 750 custom... no wheelies or hi-speeds for me though. Young, dumb and occasionally, well you get the idea.  uglystupid2

One day almost got tagged in the face with a luer swinging on the end of a pole hanging out the rear side window in my split lane. Sobers you right up.

Wow, EXACTLY what I was thinking, only a CB 750 F, back and forth on the I-8, and up and down on the I-15 parking lots...

It was nothing to split lanes 20 miles. As long as the traffic was moving, even if it was only 4-5 mph, you were ok. When traffic was stopped, accident ahead of just plain stop and go, people would open their car doors, to stop you from splitting lanes. Left more than a few boot-dents on doors and fenders, back then...also replaced the forks a few times.  Roll Eyes ???

Thanks for the memories. As was said, we were ALL fearless at one time. Now, I'm afraid of a hard sneeze - get the same effect.

 Shocked
