I remember when the Royal Stars came out in 1996 offering a 5 year unlimited mile warranty. It seemed awesome at the time and I guess it was. But when you think about it very few people put 20k a year on a bike. They proved to be great bikes and can hold their own in the mileage game. This is the second one that I have owned over the years.

Put a stage one kit on the Electra Glide. Here is a picture of it yesterday down town Cumberland Furnace. The weather here was great for riding. I rode it and the Royal Star.

Odessa is still my pick of the stable. cooldude

The royal star is a great bike. It looks like a v-twin but in fact has the v-4, I always felt they should have put the high performance V-Max engine in it though.
My e-glide runs great with the stage one. You will love it Mac !  cooldude

Thanks Reb. How is school going?

Terry I agree with you about the v-max engine. The standard engine is not as docile as some have claimed in some articles I've read but it could use more power. I am enjoying the stage one kit. Hope to see you guys soon.

In fact for the Royal Star they detuned the V-Max engine, which was a hot rodded Venture engine, and took out the counter balancer to give it more shake and added fins to look air cooled. It was a quick answer to the HD V-Twin craze and with it's heritage as a touring engine it is very reliable.
