To keep the handlebars and most importantly...the master cylinders upright, you need to do something else. Get a piece of 1x1 about 3' long and lay it across the top of the frame, and under the switches/master cylinders on the handlebars. I then tie them down to the wood with some short bungee chords I happen to have.

John, I'm changing out all the fluids, don't think they've been done for a while, if at all.

Aaahh,  okay, umm were are they?   Undecided   I swapped out one valve cover, did valve clearance, timing belt adjust, new o rings, carb slows, oil & filter, coolant swap and I'm hoping I'm good with the motor till 2012.  Got lots to do till I ride her.

Ya think so??   Shocked  Actually it needed being done.  She hadn't got much TLC for awhile.  At least I'm past the ripping down and I'm waiting for the parts.  Come on UPS! Wink

Yeah, day, day and 1/2.  Really, I'm taking my time cause just about everything needs cleaning and polishing.  Picking the bugs outta the rad fins was tough. Cheesy
