I thought all you guys and gals that are waiting for the white fluffy stuff to melt might enjoy some Arizona desert pics of a ride I took a few weeks ago. Enjoy!

My friend Connie, she loves to ride and will be on her own Valk soon.

My rig patiently waits.

The road ahead!

Me (Westernbiker) in my element. Windmill in the background filling up a stock tank.

Old gas station in Skull Valley Arizona. Yes the pumps work!

The old boy running the place loved the Valk. It took him about 1 month a piece to get the old pumps in working condition.

Just nothing to be said about this one.

Old grave marker for 'SHANE' never would have seen this but we had stopped for a break and I could just barely see the top of this cross off in the distance, so off on a hike to see what it was. Batteries in camera died after this shot so no more, SORRY! :'(

great pics and sweet valk and trailer

How come the trailer was on the trip, were you and Connie shopping for souveniers?
or is that just for carrying all the beer back and forth

Well the snow is melting here in MN, more coming this weekend. Thanks for the ride report, and not to hijack the thread but when there is snow all I do is think of things to do to my bike. Who sells the rear armrests you have on the bumblebee.

Westernbiker,

Great pic's. I have to admit that you guys have some fantastic roads in Arizona. If you were born and raised there you have no idea what a pot hole is. Heck, I don't think I even saw an expansion joint in the roadway outside of Phoenix.  I am normally jealous, at least I am until it is over 100 down there. lol

You can't rub it in today though, I got tired of looking at all the dust sitting on mine so I pulled it out, blew the dust off, then went for a ride. It is 40-45 degrees and sunny here today, and I have to admit it felt great.

i have to admit, i like arizona, my wife hates it.  she says everything is brown.  i think she hates it 'cause my idiot asshole brother lives there, but that's another story....

i've been on that road to tortilla flats, best chilli i ever had!!  one of these years i'm going to have to fullfill my bucket list and just leave the wife and kids for a few weeks and ride out west.....

we hit 50 today!!  all we need now is a good "gully washing" rain storm to clean all the sand and salt off the roads!!

I lived in prescott for 9 years an was looking to buy a house about 500 ft from that gas station back in 05 .my wife wanted to move to Or. for a long time so we took a chance. It is beautiful here but the weatyher is tough during the rainey months. The summer is fantastic.I will allways love Az. an the great riding but the summer heat was too much for me.I would rather ride in the colder weather here than the heat in the desert.I think Skull Valley is neat I rode that road many times.Wish I was there with you
