My family and I watched a group of these guys warm up at the Auto Rama in Houston this past November.  They were set up outside the convention center under the freeway and were testing the grip on their tires because it was so cold outside.  It was an amazing sight.  Three bikes at once sometimes doing synchronized moves.

My question is how the heck do you ever begin to learn that stuff?  Besides broken bones what about broken bikes?  Must be a very expensive learning curve! Shocked

That is incredible riding ability. As mentioned above, I'll bet he paid some rough dues and worked through some bad injuries to develop that talent. You gotta respect a rider like that.

Practice, practice, practice much older and wiser bro.  coolsmiley

You may want to hold off on putting that Woody's on FB's Dream until you've done a few of them spinning around the front/sitting on the headlight tricks though...

Wow, truly amazing!

He's not riding it, he's dancing with it!

On how to learn it, this is just my theory, ya' start off as a kid doing that kinda stuff on a bicycle...

Inspired Bicycles - Danny MacAskill April 2009powered by Aeva

From there, ya' learn to ride and master a dedicated trial's bike like this....

Trials bike climbs over excavatorpowered by Aeva

Then once you've built up that skill base, you switch over to a modified regular bike like the very skilled rider above did...

Very impressive stuff...

Took the two grandchildren last night to the Freestyle Motocross Tour (FMX) here in Lafayette, Louisiana and what those fearless lads did on 275lb motocross bikes as they shot 50 feet in the air on their trip 70 feet to the landing ramps was INSANE!  I mean totally insane!!!

Those boys put on a great show and nobody got hurt.  One bike went down in the finals but it was because of tape that was holding the carpet together and the bike slid out from the rider.

Grandchildren AND Pawpaw had a blast.  Fearless and Insane......

The lad that won the competition was Greg Hartman from Greencastle, PA.

through the years  I have done just about every kind of stunt these guys can do...the only difference in the outcome was the cost of my hospital bills all those torn up bikes,,,I got 50 feet in the air once,, just like the guy in the picture above,,,i was chasing Clerance acroos the pasture and came up on a levy road and thought i would make up some time on him....felt like i was 200 feet in the air and doing 200 MPH when i hit the ground,,,of course i was only about 5 feet in the air and running 35MPH...you know stunts like that,, wonder i am still around to talk about it...

I’m not easily impressed by this stuff, though I’ve always acknowledged these new breed of young kids skill on these crazy powerful sport bikes! You see them everywhere. The problem is; no matter how skilled the kid is, the machine is going to be more advanced than the kids skill set. Having said that; THIS kid is insanely good! Wow! Some of the stuff he does I would have said was ‘nearly’ impossible! Standing on the ‘lean’ side of the bike and doing a donut is one thing, but then switching directions AND staying on the same side was incredible! Thanks for posting it!

Hey, HotGlue. That shop looks bigger in that video than in the pictures you posted. That sure was a fine grand opening gathering for the shop though!!

I feel the same as you KW, I dislike the run of the mill stoppies and wheelies crap you see the punks do on public streets.  No respect for it at all.  I don't much care for the freestyle dirt riders/jumpers either.

But this guy (and there's another like him on a BMW), is an artist....a violin player.... like trials riders.  The difference is the artists are always under control... the street hooligans are not.

Big deal! He's nuthin' but a showoff!
I've done many a similar stunt on much larger bikes....only....I ended up on the pavement with the bike spinning on me. SO THERE!                                        Mike in N.Y.
