Took a ride today as it got all the way up to 40 by 1130am

Went up along the Hudson River and up the goat trail to the Bear Mountain bridge and stopped to look at the ice flowing down the bend in the river.  It looked so nice I continued up to Cold Spring and stopped where Ct handed us NYers the the hammer  and later the mugs The ice was pretty thick up there and a nice chill breeze on the river

Wearing the mesh jacket with a down vest under it and the wind felt damn good on my arms and face

Did see three other bikes  2 fellows I see all the time on harleys and a couple on what looked like a transalp but he was going the other way down the goat trail and only saw him a second or two before he was by me.  Gman there was some ice melting across and the usual waterfall in the usual spot real great day for a ride  Hurry up and get those wheels back on the bike will ya?

After working over 70 hrs this week it sure was the break I needed.  Another 2 weeks and this trial I have should be over and I can go back to working normal hours

Hope everyone got out who could and returned safely

Soon the sport bikes will be doing laps around the circle like this

Its too cold for the boys from the city still

pic is from another winter ride taken south of the bridge

Good to hear you were able to ride today. I took a short highway ride to clear my head. Hope the work load eases up for you soon.

Oss,
Took advantage of the 40-degree "heatwave" on Long Island too. Ran the Valk to Ocean Parkway, and actually met up with about a dozen riders, gathered at a beachside meeting spot. (coffee and danish available) A real nice variety of rigs, a few Harleys, two suzukis, a yamaha, my Interstate, a BMW and a real custom Boss Hoss. Nice to see so many with the same idea. Only a hundred miles or so. But it was great just to get out for a few hours, after this cursed Global Warming freakin' frigid Winter!!!                                                Mike in New York

Great to see you got out, OSS!

I would bet we are at least a month out here, or more.  Cry
