Today after the comic book shop my wife wanted to go to the book store. A motorcycle magazine caught my eye not because of the bikes, the pin up girls, or any logical reason but because it had a special Ogri supplement. Ogri looked fairly familiar. I opened the bag and pulled out the supplement to find that it was what I thought: a comic about motorcycles.

Ogri is a comic strip character that I have bumped into before. Ogri is the runaway brain child of Paul Sample. Ogri is a colorful character that reminds me of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers on motorcycles. Ogri has a wonderful cast of biker stereotypes and pets that take part in funny nonsequitor adventures in comics, t-shirts, and even a board game. If that isn't enough Ogri fun, Paul Sample has books as well collecting the strips.

Anybody else a fan of this oddball Brit comic strip? I am happy to rediscover it!

I like when my online life provides a highlight for my actual life. Sometimes the two lives feel very connected. I am a news editor for another website and part of what I do is conduct interviews. Because we don't have a budget I often do them via email.  I just put together an email interview with Paul Sample, creator of Ogri.  That was fun. I was able to ask the things I've wanted to know for years! It isn't as much fun as a sit-down interview would be, but I'll take what I can get. Right now I get answers about Ogri! Sweet.

I read the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers when I was in the Navy. I always like the cat.

Ogri lies within most Brit bikers.

I used to have all the Freak comics. Can't remember where they went.
