Springfield XD .40 S&W

Put 30 rounds through it right after buying it. First time I've ever shot anything larger than a .22. Fun, fun, fun!! I'm shooting low, but otherwise not bad (IMO) for my first time. I think I might be anticipating the recoil causing the low grouping, but that's just a guess.

Load up a few dummy rounds  in the magazine with the real bullets. If you are flinching you will notice on the dummies and it will get you to correct it.

Tommy Gun?!  Shocked  For real?

Thanks! I would be interested to know where there might be some good places to shoot in Fort Wayne.

Ahhh, Springfield Armory, a man after my own heart! They make some fine weapons, good deal with the hard case and extras that come with it, Enjoy! cooldude

One of my shooting and riding buds bought one of those a month ago. I shoot it every time we meet for shooting and breakfast. They are really nice firearms. Accurate and his has never jammed to my knowledge. The mag loading tool is a must use for me. Read the manual to make sure but I think they are OK to dry fire without snap caps too.

I did the snap cap mix with real rounds deal in a 15 round mag yesterday, as I too was shooting low with my Glock 19.  Turns out that when I pulled the trigger, I pulled the front of the gun down.  Once I concentrated on pulling it straight back, the placement improved.

Use it on my students all the time, does work. It is also a good method to teach them what to do it the gun misfires, the old tap and rack drill.
