Paul-- I've been inquiring for a friend (for his Valk) and it looks like if he wants the area chromed he may have to do the same thing.

I just took a set of these off a bike yesterday and was suprised to see that one of the stainless bolts they send to install them with went into the back of one of the coils. It did not go into the coil but did put a nice little hole in the coil plastic cover.
Be careful when installing the chrome engine covers. Make sure you have the correct length on the bolts you are useing cooldude
