That's right, folks.  In response to suggestions by several members over the last few years, we are combining the monthly meeting and monthly ride this month.  Our meeting will be at Riscky's BBQ in the Historic Stockyards in Ft Worth.  Let's get there when they open at 11:00am, have some lunch, have our meeting, and then walk it off in the stockyards.

Ideas for meet-ups and ride-in groups???

I might be able to make it.  Can't do a ride afterwards though.  We start moving into the house on Friday.  So I will be busy this weekend.

I'll be able to make the lunch portion of the meeting at the Stockyards, but I have to be at a birthday party a little later in the afternoon so I won't be able to make the ride. I'll see if Cowboy wants to ride along.     Smiley

I'm definitely up for a Collin County sub-clique ride-in.  My personal preference would be to leave early to have a leisurely ride to Ft Worth and leave plenty of time for walking off what I expect will be a massive lunch...   Roll Eyes   But I'll do whatever the group wants to do.

Since BnB Tom was the first to walk into the trap I laid bring it up, I believe it's the perfect time for him to plan a route, select a meet-up location, and determine the meet-up and KSU times for us north-siders.   Evil

TIA for stepping up, Tom!   coolsmiley

Sorry Disco.  I've been drafted by a higher power..  General L.S. HOYT (the spousal unit).

Seems as tho we have some worker bees showing up Sat AM and I need to be there.

Hopefully, won't take more than a couple of hours.

I'll attempt to catch up or meet up when I get loose.

Of all things.

My father in law passed away Tuesday night. Funeral is Saturday at 1pm.

This leaves me out of everything this Saturday. If anyone is going Saturday that wants patches, I will send them with Disco.

OK, I'm thinking early start and a meandering (non-highway) route to Ft Worth.

Meetup: 0830 at the 7-11 at the northwest corner of Eldorado and Hillcrest in Frisco.
KSU: 0845

Eldorado through Frisco into Little Elm, south on Garza and across the lake.  Hey Thag & Holly, wanna meet 9-ish just west of I-35 on Swisher?  Then, Swisher west eventually to 407 all the way to 287 south to 3433 south to 718 to 1220 south to 820 northeast to Marine Creek Pkwy and on in to the Stockyards.  Maybe not the best route ever, but it stays off the Interstate and stretches 53 miles and 1:03 into 77 miles and 2:05.

Should I be looking for anyone at the 7-11?

As always, I had a great time seeing friends and making new ones.  Lisa enjoyed herself and sends her thanks for the hospitality.  Serk, thanks again for the charger, check your email.  Disco, thanks for bringing the patches and for putting all this on.  I will email ya later on this week , hopefully, about what parts I will need for Wall-E.  Same with you too Vic.  I'll contact you later on soon about sizes and whatnot.  Welcome to the club Christbiker.  Like I said, these people are great.  They won't steer you wrong about the Valkyrie.  Garfield, nice to finally meet ya along with Doc.  I look forward to seeing everyone again in the near future, as soon as I can get my stuff moved into the new house.  Yeah, I remember, lift with your legs Grin.  Be safe, and God bless you all.
