Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

2011 F-250 crew cab 4x4. computer says 15.5 to 16 on the hiway, i think it's more like 12 to 13. I'll make a point to get a actual mileage this week and let you know.

For reference, my '05 Dodge Cummins 5.9L quad cab, long bed, 4x4 gets 17-21 MPG with the Bully Dog programmer set on "Tow" which adds 54HP/104 Ft Lbs, and 3.73 gears.  My '96 7.3L of the same configuration as the Dodge but 4.11 gears got 16-17 and rarely up to 20.

Thanks Slammer cooldude The sticker shock may keep me from buying new. I have an 07 Lariat 250 v10 that only gets 10 mpg but I can buy a lot of gas for the $20,000 it would cost to upgrade

I just talked to the guy who does our towing, he has a 2011 Ford 350 I think it is and he says in town 10-12, depending on his speed, on the highway it is 12-14 max.   He wishes he had his old Dodge Cummins back.   Stickers are under very controlled conditions and none of them are they way we drive normally.   They used to say at the CHP garage, they must drive with a egg under their foot.

I've got a 2008 Dodge 3500 1 ton 4 X 4 dually 6.7 liter diesel that gets between 15. 5 and 17 mpg on the highway (60 - 70 mph) and 13 - 14 mpg around town.  I pull a 40' fifth wheel with it and get between 8.9 and 10 mpg depending on terrain, wind, and speed.

6.7 Liter turbo diesel with 395 hp and 720 foot pounds of torque.  It's not a Ford but maybe give you some idea of mileage.
