Getting really crappy mileage after rejetting the carbs when I added Cobra 6x6s.  Think I'll go back to the stock jets/needles but I don't know what to buy.  Can anybody give me some info on the size jets, etc. I need to buy?  Does HDL carry the set?  03 std. TIA

stock
100 mj
35 pilots

are sure the mains were changed? usually cobras are nothing more than a needle change. u can raise the clip which lowers the needle. mpg should improve.

Thanks for the info.  Yeah, I bought the entire Cobra rejetting kit and had the stealership redo the carbs.  Maybe that was my big mistake.

the kit is only needles, no jets in the kit. change the clip position and the mpg will improve, their instructions have them too rich. idle mixture screws should be about 2 to 2 1/2 turns out.
needles leanest to richest,  oem, factory-pro, cobra and dyna are the same.
changing needles is easy, check shop talk.

see the pdf instructions.

when you install any aftermarket pipes. if you want you can install Interstate springs but leave everything else stock. set your pilots 2 1/4 turns out and go ride.

More people should heed your admonition.

But then, they are non-believers and have to "see for themselves".

Mostly resulting in a more poorly running bike and lots of attending performance problems.
