Has anyone had to replace the switchpad on thier audiovox cruise control.I've let mine get wet too many times and now i just lost both set and resume functions.Pulled the cover off and there is a corroded trace on the little board.I'm spoiled rotten, can't hit the road without my cruise.

In answer to your question, no.  Did you waterproof your switch in accordance with Shop Talk?
Call Audiovox and try to order the switchpad & short harness that comes with it.
If that doesn't work, you can get a complete new kit for less than $85.00. I just ordered one for my Rune.

I've had mine on for about 4 yrs. now and have gotten it plenty wet. I didn't water proof mine either. It has stopped working a time are two but after drying out awhile has always come back to working. I too don't leave home without it. It and the ultimate seat are my two best aftermarket add ons. Bubbles, you may want to waterproof yours. mines been on there over four years[about  42k]and i usually keep it covered with a small ziplock bag when washing or riding in the rain.if you see how fine the traces are on that swich board  it doesn't take much for trouble to start. I shot an email to audiovox about availability of the switch box,I'll post their answer when it comes.

Try this link on for size.

I have bought a few of these switches off of Murph.

They are an exact replacment and real reasonable in price.

If ya can follow colored wires, not bad to install either.....
I have one on my Chevy Trike that keeps going South from use and the weather.

The expensive cruise control I got on the Valk that came from down under has not failed in over 10 years of use, but I have an extra keypad for it just in case...............

There is no cheap X wife............

When they decide to go, they become very HIGH MAINTENANCE.

My youngest son found that out, and my middle daughter, she became a well taken care of ___________  fill in the blank.  She took the poor guy for everything he had and he was an attorney by trade.......  Divorce attorney no less..........  Tried to be his own attorney and the Judge killed him, big time.......

Thanks for the link RJ...I was having problems with mine this year after washing it.  Even though I had waterproofed it when I installed, I guess some water found its way into the switch and it kept turning itself on and setting a speed...kinda freaked me out when it first happened.  But after it dried out a couple days, it quit and works as it should now...at least it did yesterday.  Anyways, since I know water can and did get in there, I know its just a matter of time before the corrosion starts to take a toll.

I bookmarked that site and will order up a new switch if I notice any more problems.

In theory, if you leave the unit wired for "on" all the time, all you need are two buttons, and these are a heck of a lot more attractive.

You can read a discussion about that included in this thread:
