Our old mower was on it's last leg.....I have been stickin it back together for 2 years.....It  takes me 4 hours to mow the yard..... and it's like herding cats to keep the old mower in a line......
Went today and bought a new mower!!!!!!  A Dixie Chopper.....  50 inch cut... our old one was 54 inch.... but this one is zero turn and travels and cuts at 13 mph!!!!!!!!   I mean this thing ZIPS through the yard!!!!!!  what would take me 4 hours... I did today in 1 hr!!!!!!  I can think of better ways ta spend my time than mowing!!!!!
What we got!!!!    model 2750... 27 hp... 50 inch cut.  Upgraded the seat to spring ride, adjustable for your weight, lumbar support, and adjustable back!!!!!  Hey ...I mow 4 acres a week... 11 months a year.... Pretty sweet!!!!!!!!

Paint some flames on it, maybe a couple of well placed chrome accents and you could knock that time down to 45 minutes! Wink

I'm feeling really old all of a sudden, but... Was the old mower a John Deere? If so I think I remember when you got it, think you posted back on Mellow's old board that you'd finally gotten an air cooled v-twin American Made vehicle... Then the punchline was that it was a John Deere... Was that the one that just got replaced?

Yep .. that was it.....engine still runs good.... but the mower and steering is pretty much shot.....  think I will pull the mower deck and make some barrel wagons ta pull like a train.... and haul folks around the place...LOL....If we steer to the left or right a few feet .... it won't matter!!! LOL
