Lake Superior Ride;

I've gotten great suggestions already from JoeValk, RTaz and others about my mid-July trip around Lake Superior. One last question...are there good, clean (clean as in dutch-clean) motels between Thunder Bay and Marathon? My wife (the dutch part of this question) can be pretty persnickity when it comes to bed bugs, and other bio-hazards- real or imagined. But hey- I'm that way with my '97 Standard! Thanks for your suggestions. You guys are a big help in lots of ways.

...Hay Cleaner
. ....Ive not been all the way around Lake Superior, but I have stayed in Copper Harbor a few times, at a motel right on the banks of the Lake. I have been told that the pickings are indeed slim around the Thunder bay area, and what is there is ....well shall we say, not the Ritz...I know on the US side that there are abundant places to seek shelter, and while most may be circa from 1950 - 60,s....most are clean. Hope this helps you.

I'm afraid dutch girls don't "tent" . At all. No possibility of that happening. As a sidelight- back in '71 I rode through Europe and northern Africa on a Triumph 500 and tented every night...great times!
