I know some of you have installed screens in all of your vents on your I/S and it is about time I get all of mine done.
I had done the side vents on my pods and now that my pods are off again and my fairing is off also I figured I had better get them all done so they match..

SOOOOOO all is good except the center vent under the windshield on the fairing,,, dose anyone have a description as how to get a clean look when you install a screen in that spot or better yet a Picture (I am visual type of guy).

Thanks a bunch.
Here is a picture with the pods side screens installed   oops I forgot to do the vents on the front of the pods.

Oh I just noticed the screen I am using matches almost exactly the radiator screen I installed recently except the radiator screens little holes (diamond shapes in the screen) are all laying on their sides and the ones I installed on the pods are standing upright so I will have to re-do the pods so they all match as closely as possible. Liite tip for those of you considering this project I found that the aluminum mesh/screen for house under eve gutters is nice looking very cheap and easy to manipulate maybe not as pretty as the stainless stuff some have used but nice enough for my tastes.

Thanks
Matt

Here's all of mine from Charlie the Sculpter:

If I remember you need to remove fairing trim and the top screen is formed and attached to the part of vent still on bike.

Thank You kind SIR! Smiley

That picture of the fairing vent is exactly the picture I wanted well I really would like to see the inside but I do not expect anyone to take apart their fairing just to help me out. Wink

Thanks again

Hey Capt. Morgan....where did you get the pin striping done. I want some old school striping but dont know anyone that odes it anymore.

and for the one that asked. I dont know if he is still making them but Charlie the sculpture is where I got mine from. Have been waiting to put a new windshield in before I do the upper fairing one myself.

Does someone possibly have a link to where they can be obtained or a contact (email or web address) for Charlie?  I did not notice Charlie the Sculpter in the members list.   Do they come in a complete set or how?

I found the material at the Orchard Supply hardware, local store. It is aluminum and I think it is called Gutter Guard it comes in a roll of about 20 or 25 feet long and I think and it is 6" wide. It is real flexible and easy to cut. It is definatley not as nice and shiny as the kit from "Charlie the Sculpter",,, but I think I spent less than $8.00 for the roll and although I had to cut and trim and recutt a couple of times to make mine fit, that is part of the fun of doing your own work. If you don't like the slightly dull look or don't wanna spend the extra effort of your own I would suggest contacting Charlie the Sculpter, that is what I almost did before I found this material.

Good luck and have fun. cooldude
