I got one of those, and its a bargan at full price. The Custom rested in it for the engine change, and sure made it easy.

Im definitely getting one of those. There are two stated, the HF and the Condor. I assume the HF is the buy since the Condor looks to be about $250.

And according to the Rune guy analysis, the HF is every bit as good. I'm truly pleased with it.

Where are you finding them for $59? Online price is $79. I just called my local store and they are priced at $79 also. They did say if I found it online for less to bring in the ad. I did print my coupon for 20% off already.

What store area did you get it for $59? Maybe if I can tell them I can get the same price.

Harbor Freight emails coupons to me. I got that same chock for my son. Tried it here on my Valk....couldn't back out....it had the tire pinched soooo tight in the bottom cradle, (instructions do say not to use on tire wider that 5 inches). I didn't have it bolted to the floor though because it wasn't going to stay here at my house. I even tried a couple of mods to it. Took it back to the store. Got the other one they sell. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=96349

Hey Kingbee, Thanks to your receipt, I went to Harbor Freight and got them to honor the price you got. Only problem now is I cant get my front tire into the chock. Seems my front tire is too big. Do you have a stock sized tire? Any tips?

Wow, that's a surprise, my tire is a stock size Metzler. But now, as I look around the garage, the Metzler seems narrower than my Avon, or E3 Dunlop

Yes, I have the stock Avon. I tried to push it in the chock about 15 times pretty hard and it just get stuck in the first part of the chock.

I have two of the kind Ken Tarver posted a link to: "Got the other one they sell. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=96349" If you pay attention to their sale catalogs you can get them for less than the usual 39.99. I got my second one last year for 19.99 + shipping. They work fine with OEM Dunlops and Avon Venoms. You will need to mount them to a piece of plywood for stability.

I have the other chock as well. Bought it for trailering and works well. I tried to attach it to some plywood, and would recommend that you also attach some rubber feet to the plywood. The whole thing slid easy enough on the concrete to let the front wheel turn, making it more unstable.
And I also tried the pivot bolt in the lowest position, but it seemed to pinch the tire quite a bit, and was hard to get the bike out of the chock, so I am sticking with the center pivot.

Here is the one that I bought for $37 and mounted it to a 2' X 8' X 3/4" piece of plywood. Placed the bolts in the lowest set of holes and the front Avon tire goes in and comes out slick as can be. Being mounted to the plywood, the whole thing can be moved around anywhere you like and it does not move when the front wheel goes in or comes out of the chock because the weight of the bike on the board anchors the board & chock to the floor. (Oh yes, counter sink stove bolts on the under side of the plywood so it will not slide...)

yup John U. that was my problem, I have an Avon on the front and it was toooo fat. The Metz IS narrower. My son has Metz, but if he ever changes tire brand he would have the "stuck" problem. On the "$30" chock, I was able to spread out the nose of it even for a better fit. Someone could just make one of these

I have Avons on both Valks and both chocks work fine for me. I have 6 of the boltins for my trailers, and use the big one in my shop. The ones for the trailers I made a quick release mount for and they are just pinned in place. As I said above I used the shop one for an engine change, the Valk was in it for a couple of days with no other support, and it worked great. No problem getting the bike in or out.

Did you use the bolts that came with the chock or did you get shorter ones? Trying to see what you used so the bolts are not so long unless you installed them upside down?

I bought Stove bolts from the hardware store and mounted them upside down. I countersunk the heads in the under side of the plywood. A paddle blade bit does a good job of making the countersink if you lay out the hole pattern on the under side of the board and drill the countersink first, then drill the holes for the bolts. If I had it to do over again, I'd grind off a good portion of the round part of the stove bolt so the counter sink could be shallower, thus leaving more plywood thickness at the bolt holes. However, the way I did it seems to be stout enough. I haven't had any problems at all with this setup. I have had it for about a year now and I just ride in and jump off. The Avon on the front comes in and goes out without much of a tussle and the board stays where ever I put it. I took a router and rounded the edges of the plywood just for grins, but it really isn't necessary...JTL Oh yes, an on-board garage door opener really makes this chock setup outstanding. Just trigger the garage door opener 1/2 block away and the garage door is open by the time you arrive.

You will love it! Reminds me of the center line on a runway. They always told me to put the nose wheel on the center line, but that is sometimes easier said than done....JTL

Arlington Heights, Illinois store Thanks to Kingbee for posting a copy of his sales receipt. I was able to get the manager of the Harbor Freight store in Fort Worth to match his price of $59.00 from the $79.00 they were selling it for. Oh, I was able to use the 20% coupon that was posted here as well and the wheel chock cost me around $47.00 plus tax. I used it last night and it works great. Thanks again Kingbee.

a few weeks ago and mounted it the the center of my little motorcycle shed with the nails you use in the .22 shot "gun"....solid as a rock into the concrete floor...it comes in handy for holding the bike up so you can clean it....it also came in handy today when I changed the Bulbs in my podlights....
