The ? the lower caliper bolt in the swing arm is giving me all kinda 4377 and a lot of grief. crazy2 I got the rear wheel out of the back end with the drive shaft. Now that i have acsess to that area i soaked that bolt with WD-40. If after soaking all nite she don't wanna break loose any and all ideas are encouraged and welcomed. The really good news is the splines look really great. Still had some lube on it. No signs of abnormal wear. Front anf rear brake pads are worn out. New ones are ready to install. So again any help with that rear lower caliper bolt TIA coolsmiley RIDE SAFE cooldude

You are talking about the lower caliper bolt? I cant remember if I used a breaker bar or just used the 1/2" drive, 6 point socket, and gave it a quick rap with a hammer. But it came out undamaged.

I don't think there is anything else around that area, so maybe a little heat, just remember to apply it to the bolt.

From your description I think you are referring to part #11 but I can't be sure!

Here is the fiche:  http://www.hdlparts.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=148611&category=MOTORCYCLES&make=HONDA&year=2000&fveh=3474

If so: Be sure to use a six point socket to loosen the bolt.

Anything else will ruin the head and you will not have any success.

An impact tool would be very helpful in this.

If it the bolt I think your talking about it's a 14mm head on it. Get a good 6 piont socket and an impact wrench if you have one. If not put a good amount of force with a 1/2 breaker bar and then hit the bar  about 6inches from the swivel end where the socket is attached with about a 2 pound hammer. Should do the trick.
