Where can I purchase 2 stainless button head m10 x 1.25 x 80mm bolts. I went to about 8 different bolt and fastener shops with no luck today. Seems none of those guys want to help unless you buy a whole box of bolts.

Depends on where you live, sort of. There is always the INTERWEBZ,,,.
Here in California I have had good luck with Orchard Supply Hardware. They have a small but so far what I needed selection.

what are they for? do we all need them? I have bought many quanities of hard to find items and resold extra's.
check graingers for "clearance" bolts(and other people), I accidently found my hard to get local tractor bolts on clearance at like 80% off.
If it is a bolt I would use too , let me know

I need the bolts to pin a trailer hitch and Nat'l Cycle hard bag mounts to the rear fender. I already have in my bag of tricks a couple of m8 x 1.25 x 80mm for the rearmost connection. I live near Baton Rouge, La., but I was looking for a link or website that wouldn't mind selling just 2 bolts.

I've asked before in another forum, but not here.
How about a metric Acorn nut w/ flange? Besides the stock Hondas, or the nuts w/o the flange.

ACE HARDWARE STORE, I have bought stainless button heads, Allen heads for cycle projects for many years from them and 9 times out of 10 they have it. You can buy 1 or a 100. Your choice. Simon

+1, however in my area there are 3 Ace stores in a 10 mile radius and only 1 carries a full selection and that one also carries chrome hardware.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. EMERGENCY OVERWITH. I talked the local Suzuki shop into tradeing some off a used Valk for some OEM shiny chrome ones (plus cash).
By the way, the only ones I could find at the hardware store had the wrong thread.

I had to special order mine from a website that specializes in chrome metric fasteners, DMP fasteners. I used 90 mm long ones for my Rocket bag brackets. They were almost $11 each by time I added shipping, but they were high quality chrome and could not be found locally. A lot of stores stock the normal thread pitch (1.5) for 10 mm bolts, but not the fine pitch (1.25). http://dmpfasteners.com/shop/m10-x-1-25-x-90-metric-socket-polished-chrome-4382good luck...

Went for a ride today and 30 miles from home stopped at an ACE. They had a great selection of metric plus the chrome section. I had wrote down the 10 x 1.25 x 80 and found them also. My home town has a small ACE that is very small in size compared to the one I visited today.
